I’m a Wired subscriber. I admit it. Go ahead and make your jokes. Sure, it’s not as good as it used to be, but nothing is.
My friend Crazy Dave first introduced me to Wired magazine in 1993. He said something about it being “the bomb” and expressed confusion that I didn’t already have a subscription. This sounds very stupid now (what are Blogs for if not sounding stupid), but that magazine actually changed my life. I had put the tech-enthusiast aspect of my personality on hold for almost 10 years (roughly when I discovered girls) and had forgotten how powerful and transformative information technology could be. I’m glad that Wired Turned 10 and am proud to be a subscriber.
